Our landscape changes with the seasons and so do our activities: the times for work, rest and play. Special places are to be found in the landscape where people used to (and often still do) gather to hold fairs, dance around the maypole, light hilltop fires or participate in sport and recreation. In Cornwall they still light the midsummer fires and dance the mazey patterns of the ancient serpent dance (farandole). Search the landscape for these special places in the Folkscape website
